  • Beolab Penta MK1 - Blow Out

Hi Just acquired a pair of Mk1s - One of the them had been battered in a move (few visible small dents in steel paneling) and the owner said the amp blew when he tried to use it (Using a BC9500. He said it smoked). Listened with a direct connection (bypassing the amp) and one of the woofers was distorting;...

Hi Guys, So long story short I picked up some S45 Type 6427 speakers for around $75 (US) shipped and knew that they would have to be refoamed. • Re: Refoam the subwoofers of a Beolab 6000

Thanks for the remark Chartz, I have corrected the title of the video and the subtitles in the video and placed a new version on Youtube https://youtu.be/Z3hBl1qNgsg . With this restoration I hope these speakers will last a long time.

  • Refoam the subwoofers of a Beolab 6000

After 23 years my Beolab 6000 speakers sounded distorted. I have placed a small video on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isT0LU8p43k showing my repair of the subwoofers.
