This is lower down the totem pole of issues with the excellent software update, but BeoTool no longer reports Jukebox as being present under BeoSound Moment. Perhaps this is 'by design'?

The Soundheart is reported as online under BeoSound Moment with software Ver 2.0446.186065534.

Also have an ML/NL converter with a BeoSound 9000 connected; here BeoTool reports it as being present but 'offline', although it's playing music happily.

Has anyone got the 2.1 firmware, and if so, do you have any issues?

My Moment seem to be offline when I look at my Beomusic app, but it seem to work with the new X-app (Bang & Olufsen), but the X-app doesn't work with my TV's, so now it is getting complicated :-(

Hope for a quick fix.

Solely my opinion..

The Beomusic won't be updated anymore with the new products, and the new X-app is still in Beta. We just have to wait, a couple of weeks/months until the new app is out of beta on iOS and Android.

Then we have a better and easier app to use with all products.

The Beomusic won't be updated anymore with the new products, and the new X-app is still in Beta. We just have to wait, a couple of weeks/months until the new app is out of beta on iOS and Android.

Then we have a better and easier app to use with all products.

Chris, my concern is if they have removed the already working function, before the function can be substituted in the new app.

I bought the Moment at the time before it supported link, even I was told that it was multiroom. That only came 6 month later, and now I fear that I am back to square one,

I agree and understand that they need a new app, as I understand BeoMusic is developed by an external company, and long term it is better to develop from scratch that to continue something that someone else has written.

Version 0.9 is no use for me, as most of my products are not supported.

Secondly I am concerned about MrAndersen's comment on playing music from the phone, as I think the strong part of Beomusic was the possibility to mix Deezer, DNLA, IOS music.

I cross my finger and hope they improve functionality of the 'X' app  fast. Big Smile

I was very puzzled by his point about playing music from your phone.....i am hoping that he misunderstood my question, my i dont think so....i dont get his observation that people have mixed experiences playing music from the phone, because of different file formats and DRM issues - that didn't make sense to me.....what exactly in the iOS Music app does B&O equipment have an issue with?.....after all, the existing BeoMusic app plays nice with the stock iOS Music app (for whatever music you have downloaded locally onto your iPhone).....so puzzled by his comments, and the omission from the first release of the X app.......i do prefer the look and feel of the new app though, so looking forward to progressive improvements......

I did have the same problem and switched the moment off and on and it was then resolved.

MicroHH I have the same problem, though I was told that there should be a new release this weekend, though I haven't seen it yet, I still hope this I resolved.

I have the same problem with the TV, though I can get the TV sound to the Moment by using the Link menu on the Moments Jukebox.

Can you connect to the Jukebox with the Music app?

Have you checked in the Moments menu if the speakers still point to your TV set.

I suppose it works before with the Avant, so nothing is changed in the Avant's menu, do a check.

If you are sure nothing has changed in the Avant menu settings, you could do a factory reset of the Moment. By no means version 2.1 should give you problems in connecting to the TV speakers.

Yes I have tried this. The avant is highlighted in the speakers menu. But it doesn't work. There must be an issue with network link in the 2.1 firmware.

Version 2.1 - Beomusic app works as before.

Try "clearing cache" of the app is the setup of your iDevice

Yes, my app is working too. 

 

No problem with the app, only with connecting to the beosound moment.

 

But I solved the problem until a new firmware is available. Switching off the moment an switching on again helps.

No Moment shows up in app, no connection to the Avant, and you have the Moment in the Avant menu product integration. 

Another try, you could remove the Moment from product integration in your Avant and re-adding it. And next checked again if it shows up in the Moments speaker menu.

A complete power off and on from all B&O devices sometimes works also, and the router & AP. 

This is a failure difficult to reproduce, because 2.1 works as a charm in here.

  • “null”  and numbers shown with radio stations pictures / tiles (i guess that is what you are referring to)

I have noticed the same, and unfortunately another rather serious issue, at least for me. The Sound Delay setting is not working in 2.1, it just gives a "could not save setting, sound heart error".

This happened after a factory reset, so I do NOT recommend factory resetting 2.1 if you depend on the sound delay setting.

It defaults to 2000ms, but both values are set to 0 in the settings page, and cannot be changed.

A power on/off has not helped.

So for now the Moment has been replaced by a BM4500 until the next betal release, which should fix this issue. It is known to B&O.

This might also be related to the Link / avant problems also mentioned here, but I don't know.

I cannot rename the Moment after a Factory Reset anymore..

It sure looks there has been something terribly wrong with the update. I had the B&O logo also in an update with the sw V1 version, and finally had to replace the JB.

After the sw V1 update, the B&O logo also stayed on my JB, so thats why your fault very looks the same as mine.

You have to contact the dealer, because the old JBs serial number, should be introduced in the swap JB to work with the Soundheart.

300 km is not a your neighbors door, but there has to be something to work out with the dealership I guess. Guarantee for your device is still open.

it actually does support Spotify Connect for the moment. There are talks to make it a final feature

Well spotted. Don't get too excited though. We are considering Spotify Connect feature (at the same level of integration that is on the rest of our portfolio) and therefore it is on some beta devices for testing. (Please give feedback directly to us).However it is not certain it will make it to final release (for a number of reasons). Also, note that this is ONLY Spotify Connect, and it is not a deep integration like BeoSound 5, and it will not be possible to browser you Spotify playlists etc. like you can on BeoSound 5.

An easy swiping left or right to the next or previous track should be possible?

Only on occassions the album or artist cover isn't showed. Sometimes or actually mostly the artist/album covers differs from the one showed on the used phone/tablet. Several times no cover is shown at the background and stays blank.

Honestly Lyle, I'd buy the Moment just because of that!!!

I never really was into being Moody-nursed or PatternPlayed.

I pick my music myself (I am a dedicated album listener), which is much easier with Spotify Connect from the Spotify app interface.

(Am now using the BS Essence as my main device - with a dedicated iPad Mini for the Beomusic app).

Control of Spotify is done either from 'whatever device just at hand' or of course, from the dedicated iPad Mini.

I like to 'see' what I am listening to - the Jukebox would be great for that ;-)

I was surpriced, so surpriced that I actually did not believe it, when I read it above.

It somehow contradicts the initial concept of the Moment.

But things evolve - which is good ;-)

Please consider if the Spotify Connect support somehow could stay in an official release - that would make the Moment more versatile....

.....and usefull to some of us/me.

Can you pause/play the Spotify Connect stream on the Moment with the Beo-remote?

1: with own speakers connected?

2: with the connected speakers of a NL-tv?

The functions shown on my phone (Previous-Play:Pause- Next work).

I use the Moment on the A.Aux from my BS9000. So on speaker 1 powerlink.

According to the pics above, this does not seem to be a problem with the setup of Hiort.

You can share Spotify Connect to other devices? I can't join-in from my V1 in the other room, when the Essence is playing (from Spotify Connect).

That's the retriction of Spotify Connect and therefore the reason B&O uses Deezer. Only just one device to connect to when using Connect.

If used with the old ML, like I am, You can distribute to other linkrooms.

Correct! See picture

The BS35, BP A6, etc can be connected, but not the BV11. So I have a setup with the Moment connected to a BV11 sharing the speakers of the BV11, I can not listen to Spotify Connect on my BV11 (note: the info is shown on the BV11 as on Hiort' s picture)

the song "Coldblooded" is playing on Spotify Connect to an Essence (not on this picture). The BV11/Moment tries to connect but isn't capable for the moment.
