Hello!

I want to contact  Penta 1 with Beocenter 2300 or Beosystem 8000. ( i prefer 2300)

The problem is that  missing powerlink in Penta 1  (if i want to use with 2300)

Now i use from pc, but in this case the display not work.

How to possible that the music from pc(3.5 mm jack) and the penta display will also work with any device

(   8000 and / or 2300)

All the best!

Steve

Hello Steve,

Yes, you can get the Penta mk.1s working with a newer system like the 2300, with the displays working.

You need a pair of short Powerlink to Speakerlink adapters (costing approx. £35 GBP for the pair including shipping). These will be approx. 20cm long and one will fit underneath each Penta speaker to connect to the Line and Speakerlink sockets.

You then just need a couple of Powerlink mk.2 cables (one cable for each speaker) to connect from the Powerlink outputs of the 2300 to the adapters under each speaker:-

Please feel free to get in touch via my sponsor link below and I will be pleased to advise on building the adapters for you.

Kind regards, Steve.

Hi Steve,

Unless you have a multi-meter to test that all 8 pins are connected, there isn't an easy way to prove that you have a mk.2 cable.  However, you can if the cable ISN'T a mk.2, as if it is less than 4mm thick then it isn't fully wired.  Hope that makes sense? Erm..

Kind regards, Steve.

Hello Steve,

Yes, I have the fully wired Powerlink mk.2 cables here, then you also need the adapters which can be custom built for you on request:-

Hello Steve,.

When the adapters are correctly wired, they will give display data to the speakers using the Speakerlink (4 pin) socket and audio to the speakers using the RCA Line socket.
