Hi all

I have had my 1202 from new. Bought it in 1970 and just taken it  out of retirement. Been in box for 7 years. It works intermittently in all modes. The pickup arm will only move now and again and the drive belt keeps coming off. Perhaps I need a new belt? Where can I get a new one? Also the round centre pop up for 45s is stuck down. Any way to get it up again?

Any advise will be greatly apreciated and thanks in advance.

Brian

I believe to get the 45 adaptor up its like the bg3000, pushdown-turn-release. "Dillan" Martin has belts now, they are great.

Thanks Peter. It used to operate like you say, but it is stuck in down position.

A little TLC is needed, open the deck and clean off old hard oil and grease, lubricate thoroughly, also the 45 adapter will start behaving then, And As Peter says a new belt from Dillen

Have you undone the transport safety screws?
The belt will often come off if you run the deck with the screws locked.

The center needs a push and turn to pop up and lock down.

Hi Dillen.

Thanks for your reply. Yes the safety screws are undone. I think I will start with a new belt, it's been on there for 46 years. I put a bit a tension on it and it stayed on. Please advise how to buy a new belt from you.

Regards

Brian

PM or email me (if any of that works for you - for some users neither seems to work).
Or go here: https://beoparts.com/contact/  (works every time).
