is that right about Multiroom not coming in January?

wow, though doesnt surprise me given all the bugs with the initial software.....very disappointing.

My Android doesnt tend to crash, in fact struggle to remember it crashing actually....and i dont mind the new user interface, Netflix generally works, so my requirements are fairly limited......

All the same, my main issue is that audio / sound drops out at times, fixed with a restart of the tv, but very annoying.....a 6k TV that can't keep its audio is pretty basic.....although dont seem to hear too many other owners with that problem?

After much grumbling, B&O her offered to replace my BV14-55 with a new one, which is all fine, but i am not confident that will fix all my issues.....or just swap them for issues that others are having......if its not smooth, i'll just give it back to them, and get a BV11-55.....

I have been told recently that the update is due for December 21. So it is delayed? In my opinion delay is not an option. On the other hand, what will happen if the update comes on the 21st? I guess dealers don't appreciate an update with possible new failures during Christmas time.

I have asked for a new Horizon if this next update does not fix certain issues.

I was told this morning by my dealer that it wont come on Dec 20/21st whatever the date was supposed to be....they actually had not been given a time for when to expect it.....so who knows......i am being given a replacement BV14-55 in the next few days, but i am not confident it will sort out the issues.....

I fear you are right. On the other hand, if a lot of customers demand replacement of their Beovisions, this will raise the pressure on B&O to solve the issues. I think they should not have released the new Beovisions on the market yet.

It is possible, you have to change in the BeoRemote BT from BV-14 to BV AV, after that you see the LIGHT function in the list. You can control the lights, but after that you have to go back in the remote from AV to BV-14 and select the tv mode. The MyButton function does not store that loop.

So very difficult to control, that's why I was asking..

Exactly - those, who (still) use the Light control are quite lost ;-((((

You could (?) have the good old 'Keyring A9'lauing around, but that would only be switching on/off of the light.

I do everyday, well, every night.

It would be frustrating not to be able to do it with the last remote (after doing it with Beolink 1000 and various Beo 4's for twenty years...).

Is the Horizon a real replacement for the BV-14 ? In my case I have a BV-14 55 so I would need a 55"  replacement, but is that something you could/might expect from the dealer ? Maybe the Avant, but that is also an Android.

Yes, very frustrating... because LIGHT is IR and the rest is BT..

If anyone knows a smarter way to control trough the BeoRemote One BT I would welcome that...

the horizon is not a replacement of the bv 11 or 14

how can you think such a thing when you see the features and price of each ?

beolab 5, beolab 10, beolab 5000, beolab 4500, beolab 8000 mk2, beolab 2, beolab 1, beolab 3500, IWS 2000, beovision 7 55 mk2, beovision 11 46, beotime, beogram 7000 white mmc2, beosound century, beosound ouverture, beosound essence and the collection continues...

No, the Horizon is not a replacement. However it uses the same panel / software and the stability issues / problems are entirely equal to the BV 14 issues. I own a Horizon and if the problems are not solved after the next update I will ask replacement for a new Horizon. So I was not aiming at getting a BV 14 switched for a Horizon.Smile

Ok as you all know the new SW comes week 5.

I can tell you that B&O works all day and night to solve the issues.

So I think its importent that all of you who has BV14 or Horizon give feedback

to your dealer. We must all help to fix thisSmile

My BV14-55 will be swapt for a hole new one. My screen is faulty etc...

Some good refelction is that my ripped DVDs that I have on my Tvix 6600HD

shows a very very good picture!! I wonder why it is so good on BV14 against my BV11 I had before!?

Its nearly HD quality.

Received another reply from BeoCare regarding timing of a software update for the BV14:

"So sorry to hear about your BeoVision 14. I hope for your patience just a little while longer.

We expect a software update in week 5 to resolve most, if not all, of these "teething troubles". Another update is expected in week 10.

So sorry for the inconvenience this causes you in the meantime."
