    Bang&Olufsen & world recession

Do U think worlds recession will hit also Bang&Olufsen? Can we expact some additional discounts? Can we also expact some new entry models and lower prices generally? I think a potential ring of customers gets narrow from year to year which also influences business results.

Did already - look at the stock price. While I don't believe that directly tells anything about the company and its products - all shares have plunged in the past months - they can't get away from global recession.

However, as has been discussed over and over again, they don't even try to appeal to general public, which is the market that will be hit the worst by the recession. Those that have ample money to spend (the target segment for B&O lately) will still have ample money, only less so.

So, I believe that the only B&O product where you can expect significant discounts, is the stock Stick out tongue Probably under 100 DKK today... I would buy if I didn't have some already.

Do you guys know if the Beosound 3 is going to get a new lover price? The US price has been cut down rather steeply.

I think there are not so many rich people that would buy enough from B&O. It is the same with Audi, middle range sels, expensice cars only at the beginning, then this cars only stay on stock. I think B&O politics is therefore wrong.

I am not sure whether BeoSound 3 will decrease in price worldwide. They might be doing this in the States to get rid of their last stock. The BeoSound 3 will soon be discontinued.

How they (B&O) see it themselves (for those who missed this) ...

The big difference is that many UK employees get some kind of car allowance that they can put towards an Audi. Even low-end sales people at my publisher are given an Audi A3 as part of their role, even though the car is worth far more than their yearly wage.

Hardly anyone gets an allowance to buy B&O kit :)

Yes, the Virtuosso card helps, but you need a very good personal credit rating to get the card in the first place and, one thing is happening in the UK, is that credit issuers are being far more strict about who gets their money...

"Bang & Olufsen must be best wherever we

    are, whatever we make…

If we’re not we won’t be there

If were not, we wont be there.

    NO MORE new co-branding products

    NO MORE new mobile phones

    NO MORE new mobile phones

    NO MORE new mp3-players

NO MORE stand alone DVD-players "
