Beoplayer keep falling over when BeoLink PC 2 is attached

Having waited for the BeoPort Vista compatibility for almost a year I have now installed BeoPort 4.81 and managed to get my Vaio to accept the Beolink PC 2 box during the installation. However when trying to use the config tab in beoplayer to upgrade the firmware I get a Communication Error. In addition when choosing NetMusic or NetRadio with the Beolink PC 2 attached beoplayer falls over and vanishes. If I disconnect the box beoplayer runs as expected.

My Beolink PC 2 was bought in 2002 or so. Has anybody seen any similar problem?

    Any help is kindly apprichiated.

    Best regards

    JH

I would recommend deinstalling all B&O applications including their directories. Or using a restore point prior to the installation

You mentioned BeoPlayer?  Please check that you have downloaded the correct software and using BeoPort version.

Then install BeoPort taking care to plug in the Beoport to the PC USB only when asked by the installation process and not before otherwise it will not install correctly and not function correctly.

    Good luck

I would suggest as a first step you de-install your current Beoport software and download version 3.83 from the B&O web site and install it as it resolves many issues.

The update can be found under 'Software downloads' on the Bang & Olufsen homepage HERE
If you still have a problem then get back to us.
